
Cahaba Valley Elks Lodge 1738 supports Oak Mountain Missions Inc, a non-profit ministries which provides food, clothing, furniture and financial assistance to families who have suffered loss of home and belongings because of fire, floods, and other unforeseen circumstances. The Mission also provides resources for counseling and research for potential organizations that can assist.

April 2025 – Cahaba Valley Lodge members donated funds for Oak Mountain Ministries for the charity to receive 10 Easter baskets. The colorful baskets included personal care items, a notepad, pens/pencils, a soft bunny buddy, and, of course, plenty of chocolate and other candies.
The Shelby County Charity expressed appreciation for the young people they serve. Shown in the picture is Executive Director Stephen Dickenson of OMM.

CVEL Community Charities Committee delivered over $300 in school supplies requested by Family Connection and Oak Mountain Missions. Throughout the school year our members’ generous donations will be used to replenish their inventory. Cahaba Valley Elves delivered Christmas Gift Bags for 20 teens being served by Oak Mountain Mission and Family Connection.


CVEL continues its support of Oak Mountain Missions. In June 2023 the Charities Committee presented Assistant Director Dianne Cesario with much needed donations that included personal hygiene items, children’s clothes, school supplies, and nonperishable food items. Committee members also presented Director Cesario with a check to allow the Mission to purchase additional supplies for the Food Pantry.
