On May 7, 2024, four members of Cahaba Valley Elks lodge attended the annual Community of Hope Health Clinic fund raiser. The CHHC is one of the charities in Shelby county that the lodge often supports. The event was very nice and pictured below are the 4 members (Norma Rodger’s, PER Leon Johnston, PER Sharon Gaydon and ER Shannon Hubbard)and key note speaker Jody Fuller, who was absolutely hilarious!!!

BUNDLES OF LOVE FOR EXPECTANT MOTHERS
Grand Lodge $2000 Spotlight Grant and Cahaba Valley Elk donation continues its support of Pelham, Alabama’s Community of Hope, a health clinic of volunteers who provide medical services to the uninsured and underinsured within the Shelby County area. The focus of the funds raised by members was used to provide twenty Bundles of Love for twenty expectant mothers who are receiving services at the facility. In 2023 Community of Hope served 2208 patients with an average of 20-25 expectant mothers in need of health care services. The bundles included diapers, pacifiers, bibs, baby toys, wipes, onesies, and books. (March 2024)

Cahaba Valley Elks Lodge No 1738 presented Director Justin Johnston with the Elks Distinguished Citizenship Award at the Community of Hope 15th Anniversary Banquet and Fundraiser. In honor of the celebration the Lodge presented the Community of Hope with a donation in honor of its service to the local community. (June 2023)
