The Cahaba Valley Elks Lodge #1738 of Pelham, Alabama, supports the Shelby County Miracle League that provides special needs youth and adults with the athletic experience of enjoying and playing baseball. Miracle Leagues provide a beacon of hope that enable individuals with disabilities to not just play sports but also to experience the joy of being themselves, the thrill of winning, and the warmth of making lifelong friendships. Lodge members interact with the players and parents by assisting with distribution of team supplies, snacks, and are often matched with a player to be a buddy based on the unique needs of the player. This inclusive program provides a place for everyone to score. The Lodge has sponsored the League during two seasons. Fundraisers of $2200, member donation of $500 in game supplies, and $2000 from the 2024-2025 Grand Lodge Beacon Grant helped to supply the Shelby County Miracle League with team shirts, game snacks, and social activities that include pizza parties and end of the season award programs. All players are considered winners and receive trophy recognitions.
Fall 2024 – The League attended the Cal Ripkin Miracle League Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC. ER Shannon Hubbard, member and volunteer coach Darron Jordan, and volunteer member Debra Cooper traveled with twenty League players and parents to attend the Cal Ripkin Miracle League SE Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC. Cahaba Valley Elks were pleased to host the Helena Miracle League end of the season trophy 
and pizza

On Saturday April 20, 2024 members of the CVE lodge helped with the Helena Miracle league baseball 
game. Drinks and snacks for after the games were provided and members helped coach the games. It was a fun day!

Monster Ball 2023 With Helena Miracle League Group!! What a night!!!!
The May 30, 2023 Helena Miracle League ball game was so much fun. The weather was perfect, and it was great to see everyone.
Cahaba Valley Elks help Helena Miracle League members expand their activities by providing a location for their Clark’s Art Program. Students can attend monthly classes to create art projects under the direction of art teacher Danielle Lang. Members assist the special needs participants and encourage them to do their very best.
