Local scouts, JROTC students, and CVEL members assisted the Support Committee for the Alabama National Cemetery in placing balsam wreaths on more than 12,000 markers.
November 11, 2024 – The Cahaba Valley Elks Lodge recognized Veterans Day with participation in a number of community activities. CVEL volunteers placed flags at the markers of over 60 veterans interred at the Pelham City Cemetery. Volunteers also placed flags at markers located at the National Cemetery located in Montevallo, Alabama where over 12,000 are buried. Boy Scout Troup 548 members provided assistance throughout our recognition.
