The Cahaba Valley Elks of Pelham, Alabama, visited Camp ASCCA ( Alabama’s Special Camp for Children and Adults) on Elk Appreciation Day. The Camp is the Alabama Elks Association’s State Major Project that is supported by the twenty-two local lodges within the state. Each year at least $50,000 is donated to the camp by Alabama Elk Lodges across the state. While visiting the camp members were given a tour of some of the 230 acres of camp facilities that provide activities like canoeing, zip lines, water slides, archery, bungee jumping, arts/crafts, swimming and more. The CVEL presented two sets of billiard balls racks for the camp game room. It was a great opportunity to see how years of donations and gifting has made a difference in the lives of children and adults with special needs.
